By Makiko Tada
In 2021 Makiko Tada held an exhibition of her work in Japan celebrating her 50 years of braiding and a catalogue was printed titled 50-Year Works of Makiko Tada in the 2500-year History of Kumihimo. The first part features historical braids from the Andes and Andean braids that Makiko made on the marudai, takadai, and ayatakedai. The second part is on Kumihimo featuring Makiko’s reconstruction of ancient braids, traditional braids, and her new innovative braids made on the disk and plate. The last part is reference.
This book is written in Japanese but worthy of being in your library as the photos are large and inspiring. There is also instruction for one of Makiko's newer braids, Tsuno-Kaku-Yatuse 2 (Horn Square Yatsu-Se 2).
