Tama

Tama are traditional wooden bobbins filled with lead and securely capped so the lead never comes into contact with the skin. They are available in two sizes—Standard and Large—and in a variety of weights for use with the Marudai, Takadai, Ayatakadai, Kakudai, Core Stand, and the Ayatakedai add-on for the Takadai.

As experienced braiders know—and new braiders soon discover—tama are often needed in large quantities. To help keep them affordable, BraidersHand offers a quantity discount on purchases of 8 or more tama of the same size and weight. Individual (1–7) and Bulk (8 or more) pricing are offered as separate products.
