BraidersHand has found a source for new copies of Catherine Martin's book that has long been out of print. We are offering it at a special price!

Catherine studied at the Domyo School in Japan and was the first non-Japanese person to graduate from the course. Her book covers the history of kumihimo, its tools, and instruction in making round, square, and flat braids. Instruction includes twelve braiding structures, preparing the yarns, setting up the marudai, and using tama with a counter-weight. This creative and instructional book is an excellent addition to a braider’ s library.
