Our Kumihimo Plate is the Hamanaka Plate created by Makiko Tada and made in Japan. The 3/8" (1cm) thick dense foam holds threads and yarns securely, helping maintain consistent tension for even, beautiful braids.
The Plate is a versatile tool for creating a variety of braid structures, including many contemporary designs developed by Makiko Tada.
The Kumihimo Plate is also available as a kit complete with instructions, EZ Bobs, and thread.
