Our kumihimo disk is the original Hamanaka Disk created by Makiko Tada and made in Japan. The material is 3/8" (1cm) dense foam which holds the threads/yarns securely, keeping consistent tension for even, beautiful braids. The disk is very versatile, portable, and produces both round and flat braids. It is an excellent tool for designing sample braids as they can be set up and finished in a short amount of time.
