BraidersHand offers a variety of threads from Japan for traditional and contemporary kumihimo. Each has different characteristics and is suited to different braiding projects.

Fine Silk & Premium Silk — Fine reeled silk, pre-cut and divided into sections for braiding.

Premium24 — The same silk as Premium Silk, packaged with additional sections for braids using 24 tama.

Imposter — A slightly thicker synthetic alternative to silk, available in a wide range of colors.

Metallics — Metallic threads for adding shimmer and accents to kumihimo braids.

Yori-Ito Silk — A highly twisted two-ply silk traditionally used for karakumi and suitable for other textile techniques as well.
