Infinite Potential of Kumihimo
by Yuko Yoshida
Yuko Yoshida demonstrates how subtle changes to a braid's structure can produce graceful curves and flowing forms. In this book, she shares the techniques and experimentation that led to the creation of these innovative braids.
The book includes seven Marudai braids and an in-depth exploration of the Takadai braid known as Konoha (Leaf Braid). Step-by-step instructions are provided for the basic Konoha braid along with several variations. The author also explains how to create the Konoha braid on the Marudai and presents numerous variations with complete instructions.
The techniques are clearly explained and illustrated with full-color photographs of the finished braids. Three projects use 16 Tama, while four require 24 Tama. The author recommends using Tama weighing approximately 200 g.
