This inspirational book explores traditional Andean braids through the research and work of Yoshie Aoyagi. After an initial invitation to visit a friend in Peru in 2004, the author made more than eight trips over the years to study Andean braiding traditions in depth. Her research includes examining braids held in museum collections in Peru as well as learning techniques that are still practiced today, with findings and restoration work included throughout the book.
