In this second book for disk and plate Makiko offers more innovative braids for use on the Kumihimo Disk and Plate. She is the designer of the original Kumihimo Disk and Plate made by the Hamanaka Company in Japan. The flat braids can also be made on the Octo Plate.
Versatile Kongoh gumi goes Andean with four braids sporting two and three colors riding in the core until needed on the outside of the braid. The rest of the book features 11 flat braids. Along with the wonderful ruffled, spiral, and two color flat braids found on the cover there are several color switching braids and a 24 strand Higaki Sasanami Gumi.
These braids are especially suited for making accessories.
